The Information of Henry Clyatt< no role > son of Henry Clyatt< no role > of Stepney
Causway and Apprentice unto Mark Daws< no role > of Lower Moor field
in the Parish of Bishopgate in the City of London Broker taken this
Fourth day of April 1786 before John Staples< no role > and Peter Greene< no role > Esquires Two of His
Majestys Justices of the Peace in and For the said County who being on Oath says Last
Saturday night about the hour of nine as he was coming from his said Masters to his
said Fathers he passed the Prisoner who says his Name is Daniel Keefe< no role > near to Vinegar
Lane in the Back Lane on the North side of Sun Savern field and directly after the said Daniel
Keefe
< no role > over took him between Vinegar Lane and Brook Street and bed this Informant Stop
and deliver his Watch and mony The said Daniel having a Knife in his hand - Says he took his
Watch out of his Pocket to deliver but hearing some people coming along he did not immediately
deliver his Watch although it was in his Hand. when the said Daniel Keefe< no role > seized hold
of his Watch and swore if he did not deliver it to [..] him he would cut his Throat
and then took the watch by force out of his hand and left this Informant who followed
him calling out Thieves and Murder several persons in sight he overtook him knocked him down with his stick,
says he kept pursuing and engaging him until Assistance came and secured him

John Cheesman< no role > of Sun Tavern field St. George Middlesex Chandler On his Oath says last
Saturday night as he was at home about the hour of nine at night he heard a Cry of Thieves and Murder he run out saw Henry Clyatt< no role >
the aforementioned Witness who said he had been robbed of his Watch by [..] Daniel Keefe< no role > who was Stragling
with the said Henry Clyatt< no role > Say, he assisted and found in his Pocket a Watch which the said Daniel said
was his Own and let who dare take it out of his Pocketwhen The said Henry Clyatt< no role > said the Watch
was his and had his name on the Dial plate

Thomas Cole< no role > of St. Paul Shadwell Waterman on Oath says on Saturday night he heard there was a Cry of Thieves
and Murder when he with other went into Sun Tavern field to learn where it was hearing that some
persons were at the Virginia planter Ratcliff Highway he went into the said house where he was informed
by Henry Clyatt< no role > that he had been robbed by Daniel Keefe< no role > of Watch and bid this Informant take charge
of and search the said Daniel keefe [..] which he did and in the right hand Breeches pocket he found
The Watch now produced
