Bears Head in Exeter Street in the Strand Victualler
John Furneaux< no role > one of the Constables of the parish
of Saint Mary le Strand James Leigh< no role > of Marygold
Court in the Strand Orris Weaver Thomas Crosby< no role >
one of the Constable of Saint Martin in the Fields
William Graves< no role > Servant to John Winstanley< no role > Land [..]
of the Artichoke in White Hart Yard Drury
Land Victualler taken before me this 18th. day
of April 1786

Who being upon Oath says and first the said James Leigh< no role > says
that on Wednesday Night last when he went to Bed the Tell in his
Bar contained Half pence and Farthings and Farthings to the
Amount of about three Poundsthat a person now present
who calls himself John Edwards< no role > lodged on said Night in
his Mothers Room in this Informant House and went out
at six o' Clock the next Morningthat soon after Informant
discovered that his Till had been robbed of said Money
That he doth verily believe that fifteen Shilling and nine
penny worth of Half pence and one Shilling and three pence in
for things now produced by John Furneaux< no role > is a part of his
Money Stolen from him as aforesaid and that he doth also
believe and suspect that the said John Edwards< no role > is the person
who stole the same the said John Furneaux< no role > says that he
found all thesaidHalfpence and Farthings now produced in
the right hand Coat pocket of the said John Edwards< no role > that
when he apprehended the said Edwards he asked him where
the remainder of the Money was, who replied that one
