This is to Certify that the Prisoners James Bawen did
on his frist Examination on Thursday the twenty seventh
day of November last Voluntarily Confess and declare
before me William Blackborow< no role > Esqr. one of His Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the County of Middlesex
that he the said James Bowen< no role > did Feloniously Commit
the Robbery with which he stands Charged and that
he did Sell the Goods so Stolen [..] for One Guinea
and an half. And Those are Further to
Certify that the said James Bowen< no role > on his
Re examination before me the said Wm. Blackborow< no role >
this day did refused to Sign or Subscribe his Name
to such Confession as aforesaid Given under
my hand this Third day of December 1783
