The Defendants were Committed for
Coming Counterfeit Shillings and Six pences, and
a Recognizance Entred into by
John Wallis< no role >
and
others to Prosecute before the Litting Magistrates
in Bow Street
.
A very material Witness for the Crown who
could have supported the [..] Prosecution by
his Testimony has absconded and we are not able to
find him, therefore we did not Mefer a Bill of
Indictment against the above named Persons.
But we have preferred two Bills agt. Ann
Carpenter< no role >
and John Carpenter< no role >
for Uttering Counterfeit
ShillingsJohn Carpenter< no role >
was tryed at the
Sessions House for Middlesex
on Saturday last
and found Guilty Ann Carpenter< no role >
is not yet tryed.
Please to Move that the Recognizance
Entred into as above mentioned may be
discharged.
