Middlesex to Wit

The Information of William Fleet< no role > of Gosport
Carpenter and John Jenkinson< no role > of New Cross
Street Hedge Lane Constable taken before
me this 9th. day of January 1783

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said William
Fleet
< no role > says that about three o Clock yesterday afternoon he went
with a person now present who calls himself Richard Kennedy< no role >
to the One Tun Alehouse in Coventry Street to Drink, at which
time he had in his Pocket one Guinea, That after some
Conversation said Kennedy told this Informant that he had
no MondayThat this Informant and said Kennedy had some
Beef Steaks and Beer together soon after which this Informant
fell asleepThat he awoke in about half an hour when he
saw the said Kennedy go out who said that he would be in
again in a few MinutesThat said Kennedy returned in about
an hour to this Informant and pulled out several Shillings
and said he had changed a Guinea with Francis Mitchell< no role > at
No. 5 Great East CheapThat he this Informant last Night
enquired for the said Francis Mitchell< no role > at No. 5 Great East Cheap
aforesaid and could not find any such PersonAnd further
says that he is very sure the said Richard Kennedy< no role > picked
his Pocket of the GuineaAnd the said John Jenkinson< no role >
says that last Night [..] about 6 o' Clock he apprehended the said
Richard Kennedy< no role > at the One Tun aforesaid and found
upon him seventeen shillings and Six pence
