to write his Name and Place of Abode which he didwhen Petch
desired him to add the following words viz "When you return
Me my Watch and the Remainder of the £70 I will return
you the Ring and Purse", the first mentioned Man having previous
to this, given this Informant the Purse and Ring and received this Informant's Watch and Money That this Informant
then asked Petch for his Name and Place of Abode when he
(Petch) said that " He Kept a Cloath Shop in Bishopgate Street
but the Name he assumed, this Informant cannot now recollect
having lost the Memorandum which he took at the time & put
into his Pocket Book and which said Pocket Book he believes
the said three Men concealed at this time. That Peter then desired
this Informant to go out with him to the door, which he did.
That upon coming out, this Informant observed the other two
Men come out also and Walk awaywhen this Informant
observed to Petch that "he believed he had lost his Property",
when Petch asked him "if He had robbed him" and then wanted
to be gone also; but this Informant took him by the Collar
and secured him. That when in custody, the said Petch told
this Informant, That "if he would not carry him before a
Justice of the Peace He would get this Informant his
Watch and Money again"And this Informant further says
he cloth believe and suspect that the said three Men conspired
together, dropped the Ring and Purse, and seduced this Informant
into the said Ale house with an Intention feloniously to steal his
Watch and Money as aforesaid.
