this 6th. day of Novemr. 1775
Who being upon Oath saith that on
Saturday Night the 4th. of November 1775 he
was asked by a person now present who calls
himself Charles Collis< no role >
if he wanted to buy
a pair of Shoes to which he said Yes I do,
That this Informant accordingly bought a Pair
of Men's Shoes nailed at the Heels of the said Charles
Collis< no role >
and promised to pay him Three Shillings
for the same on the Saturday following, that
the said Shoes are the same which are now
produced and which this Informant has Since
heard were one of the pair of Shoes which were
Stolen from the Dwelling house of John Edmonds< no role >
in Petty France
Westminster
, and further on his
Oath saith that at the [..] Time the said Collis
produced the said Shoes, he told this Informant
that they came out of the Country
