The Informations of Nathanael Hartley< no role > and Frances Watson< no role > Spinster taken upon Oath this 27th
Day of June 1772. before us [..] Thomas Bishop< no role > and John
Lane
< no role > Esqrs. [..] Two of his Majesetys Justices of the peace in and
for the said County, City and Liberty.

And first The said Nathaniel Hartley< no role > for himself
saith that one Tuesday Evening the 23d Instant about Ten o'Clock
at Night this Informant was met in the Street by Two Women
who picked him up and with whom he went to their Lodging in
Carriers Street St. Giles's in a House Which this Informant hath
since been inforced is kept by one Mrs. Mc. Dermont< no role > , where he
went up Stairs with Two women One of which is now present and
calls herself Mary Ryan< no role > but cannot take upon himself to say
whether the other Person now present who calls herself Frances
Watson
< no role > was the other Woman he went up with as aforesaid or not
That in a little time this Informant fell asleep in the said room
and in about An Hour he was awakened by some Blows in his face
which effected him very Much and made him very Bloody: That this
Informant then Saw a Person now present who calls himself Ralph
Lawson
< no role > with the Two Woman and one other Man in the Room and
that the said Ralph Lawson< no role > did make use of many and terrifying
Threats to this Informant Asking him What Business he had in his
Lodging, and Endeavoured to force him out of them And this Informant
further saith that he is very certain He had in his Pockett at the time
of his going into the said Apartments Thirteen Guineas in Gold, and
Sixteen Shillings in Silver together with some Halfpence But upon
his examining his Pocketts, immediately upon his being awakened by
the Violent Blows as aforesaid, He found that the whole of the said
money had been taken from his Person And this Informant further
saith that he got out of the House as soon as he cou'd And upon his
giving Information of his having been robbed and Ill used to the Constable
of the Night at the Water House He went with Assistance but cou'd
not find any of the parties.

And the said Frances Watson< no role > spinster Upon her
Oath Saith that she together with Mary Ryan< no role > now present went out
between Nine and Ten o'Clock at Night on Tuesday last and soon after
were picked up by Nathaniel Hartley< no role > who proposed giving them some
Beer upon which this Informant saith that She told the said Nathaniel
Hartley where they Lodged and proposed having the Beer at their Lodgings
rather than going to the Alehouse Which he Agreed to And this Informant
further Saith that when Mary Ryan< no role > and She first went out they left
the person now present whole name is Ralph Lawson< no role > standing at the
Doorof the Hause where they Lodged, And when they returned in Company
