before me this 25th. day of March 1772

Who being upon Oath says that he knows Samuel Graytrix John Sharpless< no role >
otherwise Hall and Prickard Beck John Bonnell< no role > and one Duffield who
are all common Cheats, says that on Monday last the said Samuel Graytrix
John Sharpless< no role > otherwise Hall having taken a Lodging in Muscory Court Tower
hill sent this Informant to a Linen Draper whose Name he believes to be
Crompton upon Tower hill to order in two Pieces of Irish Linen and half a piece
of Muslin that the said Linen Draper accordingly sent in the said
Goods and the said Graytrix and Sharpless by Fraudulent Means
obtained the said Goods and pawned them at a Pawn broker's in Oxford
Street ; says that last Friday the said Graytrix and Sharpless having
taken a Lodging in Thread needle Street Sent this Informant to Mr. Yerbury's
the Hosier with an Order in Writing which was wrote by Sharpless
for 4 Doz. pair of Silk Stockings which Order this Informant left
at Mr. Yerbury's & the said Mr. Yerbury sent them 3 ½ Doz. of Silk
Stockings which the said Graytrix and Sharpless by frandulent Means
obtained from the said Mr. Yerbury's Servant & afterwards prisoned
3 Doz. of them in Poulteney Street; that about a Week ago the said
Samuel Graytrix John Sharpless< no role > and this Informant took a Lodging at
No. 104 Bishops gate Street and ordered in 3 Cardinals & 2 Benenants of
Velverets from a Shop in Hounds ditch which were brought by one Morris
an Apprentices to the said Shop keeper who left the said Goods with this
Informant and was privy to the Fraud intended upon his Master and
that one James Wylan who is acquainted with the said Morris was
also privy to the Fraud and had a Share of the Profits as well
as the said Morris, that the said Goods were disposed of by the
said James Wylan; that about a fortnight ago the said Sharpless
the said Graytrix took a Lodging in Queen Square Westminster
and fraudulently obtained from a Hosier in Bridge Street 6
pair of Silk Stockings 3 Pr. of Which were pawned at the
