The Information of Robert Lloyd< no role > of Hare Street
in the Parish of Saint Matthew Bethnal Green in
the County of Middx Victualler taken before me one of
his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County
the 6th. day of May 1771

This Informant upon his Oath Saith that about five o'Clock
in the Evening on Tuesday the day that Daniel Clark< no role > This name instance is in set 3672. was
killed at Bethnal Green several Persons came into his House
(which is situated the corner of Wood Street in Hare Street near
to the Field where the said Clarke was Murdered) and called
for some DoorSaith that among them was one Robert
Campbell
< no role > This name instance is in set 3700. who this Informant remembers was then dressed
in dark coloured ClothsSaith that the said Campbell
went out of his said House and returned gain in about half
an hour and then had put on and now a white Frock or Shirt
such as is commonly worn by Waggoners or Ship wrights
Saith that on seeing the sd. Robert Campbell< no role > with the said
Frock or Shirt on, was surprized at the sudden change of
his dress & sd. to several persons then present, how is the man
came back again that was how before, (meaning Campbell)
that had other Cloths on then, to which, said Campbell
replied "(having Informt. making that remarks) I am going
to India
