this 14th. day of February 1770
Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said Ann Lawrence< no role >
for herself says that on Saturday Evening last she had stolen out of
her house five gowns two Petticoats a pair of Stays a Metal
Watch and other things which are the property of Mary Pettit< no role >
a Lodger in the Same house and the Said David Storer< no role >
for himself
says that on Saturday Evening last he this Informant saw a person
now present who calls himself John Pitman< no role >
with another person
run out of the said Ann Lawrence< no role >
's house with each of them a Bundle
of Cloaths, that he this Informant called out Stop Thief upon which
the said John Pitman< no role >
and the other Person run away & threw down then
said Bundles which have Since been owned by the said Ann Lawrence< no role >
and the Said John Brown< no role >
for himself says that he likewise saw
two persons come out of the said Ann Lawrence< no role >
's house on Saturday
Evening last with Bundles, and that he does verily believe the
said person wow Present who calls himself John Pitman< no role >
to
be one of the Said Persons who run off with the said Bundles
