The Information of Sarah Ashbishaw< no role > and
John Sarson< no role > taken before me this 15th. day of
September 1769

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said Sarah Ashbishaw< no role > Says that on Wednesday Morning last She
bought a hat now produced of a person now present who calls
himself John Simmonds< no role > , that She ripped the Silver Lace off
the Hat and that the Silver Lace now produced is the same Lace
that She did so rip off, and the said John Sarson< no role > for himself
says that the said hat & Lace is his property and that it was
stolen from him on Tuesday Night or Wednesday Morning last,
and these Informants further say that they do verily believe
that the Said John Simmonds< no role > did feloniously take and carry
away the said hat
