AN INQUISITION indented, taken for our Sovereign LORD the KING, at the House of Mr Holmen
in the Parish of Saint Anne in the County of
Middlesex , the ninth Day of May in the forty Third Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign LORD GEORGE the Third , by the Grace of GOD of the United Kingdom
of Great-Britain and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Edward
Walter one of the CORONERS of our said LORD the KING for the said County,
on View of the Body of Elizabeth Taylor< no role > then and there lying dead,
upon the Oath of the several Persons whose Names are hereunder-written and Seals affixed,
good and lawful Men of the said County, duly chosen, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to inquire, for our said LORD the KING, when, how, and by what Means, the said
Elizabeth Tailor< no role > came to her Death, do, upon
their Oath, say, That the said Elizabeth Taylor< no role > not being ofsourd Mind and Memory but
Lunatic and distracted on the Second day of May in the Year aforesaid at the Parish
and in the County aforesaid a certain Quantity of a deadly and mortal Drug
called Arsenie infused in some Liquied did drink and Swallow down By means
whereof she became sick and distempered in Body and of the same did languish
at the parish and County aforesaid until the eighth day of May and then of such
Mortal Poison did die And so the Jurors aforesaid do Say That the said Elizabeth
Taylor being lunatic and distracted herself did hill in manner any by the Means-
aforesaid

IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said CORONER as the said Robert Sammons< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors, and the Rest of his said Fellows, have, to this Inquisition set
their Hands and Seals, the Day, Year, and Place first above-written.
