about 9 oClock yesterday Morning Dept. being an board a
Lighter lying alngside Mr. Hodsons Wharf in Sr. Andrew
by the Wardrobe London and having head that the deced had
been missing and was supposed to be drowned he & some other
psons tried with Boathooks to discover & find the deced
that Dept. having put the Boat hook or Hitcher down tooked
hold of something wch upon drawing up to the Waters edge
he found to be the deced that he and some other persons got
the deced into the CraftThat he had all his Cloaths on but
no Hat and from his appearance had not been long in the
WaterThat the deced was was had & cleaned and upon
scanting him a Watch and several Guineas were found
upon himthat the deced was a Bargeman
& one of his
own Men helped to wash & clean him & was the person
who found the Watch & Money on himThat several
Psons had been searching for the deced & Dept. understanding
the deced had been missing the Evening beforeDept found
a Hataboutbetween four & fiveis theEvening before
