Informations of Witnesses taken at the
parish of Saint Botolph without Bishopsgate
in the ward of Bishopsgate without in London
aforesaid on the 28th. day of October 1788 on view
of the Body of William Woodcock< no role > now here lying dead

Daniel Godfrey< no role > of No.10 Shoemaker Bishops
-gate without London Upholsterer maketh
Oath and saith that he was spending the
Evening at the House of the deced William
Woodcock
< no role > on Saturday Evening last that abot.
½ past ten in the Evening, he heard some body
shrieh out up the Stairs-that Dept. and
the deced Nephew Wm. Woodcock< no role > ran up
Stairs together that Dept. got into the Room
first-that when the Dept. got to the two
pair of Stair Room of the deced's house he
headfound the Room all Dark & heard
Mrs. Woodcock the deceds Daughter cry out
'Oh my Father my Father-that Dept.
then went down Stairs to get a Light that
he then went up Stairs to said Room-that
the deced was hanging by a Cord to an Iron
Hook in the Wall of said Room-that the
deced's Son in Law said Wm. Woodcock< no role > lifted
the deced up & of the Cord then fell of the Hook
that Dept. and said Woodcock lifted the
deced into a Chair-that the deced was
Warm then-and opened his Eyes-that on
Surgeon was sent for but the deced never
Recovered-That He has known the deced
near this fifteen or sixteen Years-that heaven
between Seventy & eighty Years Old-That he
has
