Informations of Witnesses taken at the
parish of SaintSepulchreBartholomew the Great in the Ward of
Farringdon without in London aforesaid on the
20th. day of October 1788 on view of the Body of
John Cogdall< no role > now herelying dead.

John Mardin< no role > of No.52 upper Moorfields Dealer
in Coals maketh Oath and saith that on last Thursday Week
being, then in Worship Street Parish Shoreditch Middx
he observed a Cart with one Horse and the Driver
setting on the front of the Cart driving very fast
coming out of a Place called three Coll Center
Ground close by there that she was walking towards
the Cart that another Cart then comeing from
Moorfields met the aforesaid Cart that the said
Cart with the driver sitting on the Frontof said
Cart
drove very fast part the other that almostly
instantly he heard somebody cry out and on looking
roundhe saw the deced lying close by the side of
a Rail there and the deced endeavouring to catch
hold of the Rail that the went to him and took
him up in his Arms-that he immediately hallved
to some persons to stop that Cart the Cart not
stopping he sayed to a Lad that was with him
Abraham run and stop the Cart that whilst
the Bay was gone some Persons came and Dept.
left the deced and run after the Cart that the
Cart was stopt by some drays in little Moorfields
when Dept. took the [..] Owner Name
that the Name on the Cart was Walker No.131
Goswell Street That on his asking the driver of
[..] of this behaving
in that manner that the driver of answered that his
Horse had taking fright at some Suffold Poles
