To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint Botolph without
Bishopsgate in the City of London , and the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Saint Dionis backchurch
in the said City
and to every of them.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto us, two
of his Majesty's Justice of the Peace for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Botolph without Bishopsgate
London, That
John Cockburn< no role > and Mary < no role >
his wife have
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtained
any legal Settlement there, and are likely to became charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said Mary as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and we do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said John and his said wife
to be in the Said Parish of Saint Dionis backchurch
and that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in His Majesty's Name to will and re-
quire you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Botolph witht. Bishopsgate
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said John
Cockburn and said Wife
from and out of your said Parish, unto the Said Parish of
Saint Dionis backchurch
And them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for them according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this 24 Day of January One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Ninety four
