Whereas complaint hath come made unto & Whose hand & Sark one
hereinto Sett two of her Majestices Justice of the Peace of the City of
London (Quorum nuns) by the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St. Bottolph Aldersgate that a Female Bastard Child
Aged Seven Months or thereabouts was left in the Said Parish
by the Mother of the Said Child who is gone away and that James
Aldners
< no role > the Father of the said Child is now a Prisoner in Wood Street
Compter And for asumes as it appears into & that the said [..] Child was
Borne in the Parish of St. Dennis Backworth at the house of James
Child
< no role > in Fanchurch Street on the Body of Ann Ridly< no role > Widdow [..]
Chroner Their are therefore in her Majestices Some to Will and
require you the Officers of St. Botolph Aldergate Some or One of
you to take passe & convey away the Said Bastard Child to the
Parish of St. Dennis Backworth and there deliver her to the
Churchwarden and Overseeer of the Poor of the said Parish or to
one of Them who are hereby likewise in her Majestice Name
required to receive and provide for her according to law & hereof
you nor any of you are to faile riben Under our hand or & Seale
this twentieth day of July 1703
