This Indenture made the Three & Twentieth Day of July in the Sixteenth Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign L ord George the Second by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland,
King Defender of the Faith, Etc. Annoque Dom. 17 42 Witnesseth, That James Tell< no role > and John Clifton< no role > This name instance is in set 3415.
Church Wardens of the Parish of Saint Dionio Backchurch in the City of London And John Clarke< no role >
and John Watton< no role > Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish, by and with the Consent of His Majesty's Justices of
Peace of the said City whose Names are hereunto Subscribed, have put, and placed, and by these Presents do put and
places Mary Husband< no role > a poor Child of the said Parish, Apprentice to John Mideaux< no role > of the Parish of Whitechappel
in the County of Middx Shoemaker with h im to Dwell, and serve from the Day of the Date of these Presents until the shall Accomplish her Age
of one Twenty Yeard or Day of Marriage
During all which Term, the said Appentice h er said Master faithfully shall serve in all lawful Business, according to h is
Power, Wit and Ability, and honestly, orderly, an obediently in all things demean and behave h er self towards h er er said
Ma ster and all h is during the said Term. And the said John Brideaux< no role > doth Covenant and Grant for h er self h er
Executors and Administrators, to and with the said Church-Wardens and Overseers, and every of them, their and every
of their Executors and Administrators, and their and every of their Successors, for the time being, by these Presents, That
he the said John Frideand< no role > the said Apprentices in the Art Trade and Business of being stress shall and Will to ask & Instruct
or Cause to be taught & Instructed And shall and will during all the Term aforesaid, find, provide and allow unto the said Appen-
tice meet competent, and sufficient Meat, Drink, and Apparel, Lodging, Washing and all other Things, necessary and fit for an
Apprentice . And also, shall and will provide for the said Apprentice, that the be not any way a Charge to the said Parish,
or the Parishioners of the same; but of and from all Charge, shall and will save the said Parish and Parishioners harmless,
and indemnified during the said Term. And at the end of the said Term, shall and will make, provide, allow and deliver unto
the said Apprentice double Apparel of all Sorts, Good and New, that is to say, a good New Suit for the Holy-days, and ano-
ther for the Working-Days. In Witness whereof, the Parties abovesaid to these present Indentures interchangeably, have
put their Hands and Seals, the Day and Year above written.
