be given to him as a Gratuity for his Service during the
past Year, the Order of the 11th. April 1765. empowering
the then present and succeeding Church Wardens to give
him One Guinea as a Gratuity over and above his Salary
to be discharged, And being Seconded the Question was
put on the said Motion and carried in the Affirmative. Nem. Con.

Ordered that the Sum of Ten Pounds be given to the
said John Iselton< no role > as a Gratuity for his Service during
the past Year And that the said Order of Vestry of the 11th.
April 1765. whereby the then Present and succeeding
Church Wardens were empowered to give him One Guinea
over and above his Salary be now discharged.

Parish Clerk

Ordered that a Sum not exceeding Twenty Pounds
be paid to Mr. John Winter< no role > Oswin the Parish Clerk for
one Year ending at Lady day last Upon condition he
doth not collect any money from the Parishioners in lieu
of Wages, and that he constantly discharges the duties of
his Place.

Engine Keeper

Then Mr. John Cooper< no role > was put up and Chose
Keeper of the Fire Engines for the year ensuing.

Overseers

Then Mr. William Lem< no role > , Mr. Peter Pope< no role > , Mr.
Richard James< no role > This name instance is in set 2783. , and Mr. Henry Newton< no role > were severally
put up and nominated to be Overseers of the Poor for
the Year ensuing.

Auditors

Ordered That Mr. Maynard, Mr. Haydon, Mr. Pope,
Mr. James, Mr. Newton, Mr. Chauntrell, Mr. Hebert, Mr.
Leech, and Mr. Kippax, or any three of them be appointed
Auditors to audit the Account of Mr. William Lem< no role > late
Church Warden the same to be Audited in one Month.

New Version of
Psalms.

Mr. Newton then moved that he last Order of Vestry
of the 25th. Feb: for making use of the new Version of
Psalms in the Church Service instead of the old if the
Rector of the Parish should give Consent thereto and
for other things as therein mentiond be Confirmed by
this Vestry And the said Order being read over was
Ordered to be Confirmed And the Church Wardens were
desired to write to Dr. Curteis Rector of this Parish for
his Consent that the new Version of Psalms might for
the future be made use of.

Hours of Divine
Service on Sundays

Mr. Newton also observed that it would be much
more convenient for the Parishioners of this Parish if the
Church Service was to begin on Sundays at a Quarter of
