Meeting

At a Meeting of the Inhabitants of the North and
South Precincts of this Parish on Wednesday
December 18th. 1765.

Present The same Gentlemen that were at the Vestry.

Mr. Church Warden Haydon acquainted the
Gentlemen present that this Meeting was summond for the
choice of Ward Officers for the year ensuing.

Constables
Scavengers
Inquest men

Then Mr. Edward Treadway< no role > being first in Nomination
for Constable Scavenger and Inquest Man alledged that
he was a Deputy Coalmeter and exempt on that account from
serving the said Offices: but his excuse not being satisfactory
He was accordingly put up to serve the said Offices for the
Year ensuing and Chose.

Ward Officer
Fined.

Mr. Henry Rutt< no role > being next in Nomination was also
put up to serve the said Offices of Constable , Scavenger. and
Inquest Man for the Year ensuing and Chose: But Mr.
Church Warden Haydon acquainted the Gentlemen present
that Mr. Rutt desired to be admitted to Fine, and the
Question being put. It past in the Affirmative.

Ordered That Mr. Henry Rutt< no role > be excused from serving
the Offices of Constable Scavenger and Inquest Man on
paying the Fine of Fourteen Pounds.

Then Mr. William Gould< no role > was put up to serve the
said Offices in the room of Mr. Rutt for the Year ensuing
and Chose.

Collectors of
Lamp Tax

Then Mr. James Green< no role > and Mr. Thomas Hellam< no role >
were severally put up and order'd to be returnd to the
Wardmote for Collectors of the Lamp Tax for the Year
ensuing

Common
Council men

Afterwards Mr. George Maynard< no role > , Mr. William
Chesson , and Mr. James Hebert< no role > were severally
Nominated, and Ordered to be returned to the Wardmote
for Common Council Men for the Year ensuing.
