Church Clock
and Chimes

Mr. Church Warden William Kippax< no role > acquainted
the Gentlemen present that this Vestry was held pursuant to
public notice given in the Church to consider of the Repairs
wanting to the Bells, Clock and Chimes, and on other Affairs

It was then Ordered that the Order of Vestry made
the 19th. December last for Allowing Mr. James Green< no role > a
Sum not Exceeding the Sum of Forty Pounds for putting the
Parish Clock and Chimes in a Thorough Repair be now
Read and the same was Read accordingly.

Ordered that the said Order of Vestry of the 19th.
day of December last Be Confirmed.

Then Mr. Andrews the Vestry Clerk pursuant to the
last Order of Vestry deliver'd in an Account of what Sums
of Money had been laid out and expended in the Repairs
of the Clock and Chimes from the 17th. day of December 1733
to Michmas 1764 so far as it appeared to him on Inspecting
the Vestry Books.

Afterwards Mr. James Green< no role > deliverd in at the
Table an Estimate of the annual Expence for keeping the
Clock and Chimes in good Order, and to wind it up daily
a (Accidents by Fire, Storms. and Lightning Excepted) for
a certain Term of Years Vizt.P Annum

For Ten Years At£13..13..
For Fifteen Years14..14..
For Twenty Years15..15..

And upon Reading the said Estimate Debates arising
Mr. George Maynard< no role > moved that the Consideration of Mr.
Green's Estimate and Proposal be postponed sine die.
