Organist

This Vestry was held Pursuant to Publick Notice
given in the Church And Mr Church Warden James
acquainted the Gentlemen present That Mr John Bennet< no role >
the Organist of this Parish was then waiting without,
and humbly pray'd Leave of this Vestry that he might.
offer himself as Candidate for the place of Organist
of St John's Chapel in Bedford Row (now vacant) for
the better Support of himself and Family Subject to
and under such Restrictions as this Vestry shoud Order
and direct with Regard to his Personal Attendance
in Discharge of his Duty as Organist of this Parish
And that he had not Presum'd to stand as Candidate
nor did intend so to do without the Previous Consent
and Approbation of this Vestry

And the same being taken into Consideration
and after some time spent there in It was Ordered that
an Order of Vestry made the 2d April 1752 be now read
and the same was read accordingly.

Then Mr George Maynard< no role > moved that the
severel Orders of Vestry made the 27th July 1749 and
the said 2d of April 1752 so far as they direct that the
Person who shoud be Chosen Organist of this Parish
shoud Attend in Person twice on every Sunday and on
other usual Festivals and have no Deputy but in Case
of Sickness be provision ally discharged and being
Seconded the Question was put on the said Motion
and carried in the Affirmative.

Ordered that the several Orders of Vestry of the
27th July 1749 and 2d April 1752 so far as they direct that
the Person who shoud be Chosen Organist of this
Parish shoud Attend in Person twice on every Sunday
and on other usual Festivals and have no Deputy
but in Case of Sickness be provisionally discharged
