The Poor were all called in & severally examined, had
no Complaints. Applied to for several small Necessar-
ries & agreed they should have the same.

1st. December 1761 .

The Poor were called in & severally examined, had no
Complaints, but inquiring into their Behaviour were
informed they were very refractory and disagreed
among themselves which by all the Poor seemed to
be Principally owing to Susan Landgridge< no role > on which
Account it was resolved not to give her the allowance
of 3rd. P Month for the Present which had been agreed
to be given to Each to encourage them to behave
will; And upon complaint of Mr. Birch that most
of them were unwilling to do any works or give any
Assistance in the House Business, it was recommended
to them to do all in their Power for the Profit and
Advantage of Mr. Birch on Pain of our Displeasure;
Applied to for several Necessaries & agreed to supply them
with the same.
