of the Company of Carpenters

Precept to returne 2
Lists of ye Livery on Oath
in order for a Scruting.

These are to require you to cause the Clerk of Your Company [..]
returne to One of the Sheriffs on or before Tuesday next two true &
perfect alphabeticall Lists upon Oath of All the present Livery M [..]
of Your Company, and if any of them have been admitted Since ye. 1 [..]
day of August last, he is to insert therein, on what particular day they
so admitted in order to Examine the Poll that is now taking for the elected
Members to Serve for this City in the ensueing Parliament.

And Whereas of late years Severall persons who have taken their Freed [..]
of this City in One Company that hath no Livery, have been received in [..]
another Company that hath a Livery, and been thore admitted into the [..]
Livery without being duely translated according to the Custom.

Your Clerk is therefore to certify upon his Oath also, which Oath is t [..]
be taken before Some Justice of this Peace of this City, who is not a Candid [..]
whether there be any Such Livery men of your Company, and who th [..]
are, and when they were so admitted, and of what Company they w [..]
free before their admission into yoe Livery. Hereof fail not this [..]
day of October 1713.
