went to Godalming to fell &
sell Timber}

The Committee appointed att the last Court for going to Godalming to fell and sell some
Timber for the repairing the Almshouses there now made their Report touching the same
There upon the Clerke read the Agreement touching the sale thereof which was ordered
to be entred and is as follows Vizt

Memorandum Itt is this 10th: day of February 1731 agreed Betweene The Worshipfull Company
of Carpenters London and Thomas Roaker< no role > of Shackleford in the Parish of Godalming in the County of Surry yeom in-
manner following Vizt. The said Company agrees to sell to the said Thomas Roaker< no role > 175 trees
as now stand [..] marked on the Farme in the possion of the said Thomas Roaker< no role > belonging to
the said Company for the Sume of £105 Consisting of Eighty Oakes seventy four Elms & twenty
one Ashes which Containe the above number of trees and the said Thomas Roaker< no role > does hereby
agree to buy the said Number of trees above mentioned and will pay to the Said Company or their
order the Sume of £105 in two payments Vizt £52:10s part thereof on the First day of August next
and the remaining £54:10s on the 20th: day of December next both which mentoned sumes of £52:10s-
and £52:10s the said Thomas Roaker< no role > agrees to pay to the said Company or their Order in London
Wittness their hands the day and yeare above written

The Renter Warden now reported that he had reced Fifty two Pounds for halfe a yeares
dividend on £2600 South Sea Stock due att Christmas last

Garden to be repaired &
beautafyed}

A Mocon was now made that the Kings Arms and the figures of Faith Hope & Charity
and the other part of the Front in Mr Fordham's Garden were very much decayed & wanted
to be repaired painted leaded glazed and beautifyed Thereupon Itt was Ordered that Master
Edward Bowcher< no role > do forthwith repaire paint new lead glaze and beautifye the said Arms
Figures and prmisses above described And Itt was further Ordered that the names of the
present Master and Wardens and the date of the yeare be painted on the said Front in
Golden Letters

Wm. Taylor< no role > discharged from
all rent due to the Company
on assigning his Lease to
Wm.< no role > and Robt. Hamilton< no role > who
paid the Renter Warden as
a fine for the same: £5:0s:0d }

William Taylor< no role > a Tennant in Fenchurch Streete now appeared and acquainted the Company
that he was poore and not able to pay the rent which was due to the Company Thereupon itt was
ordered That if he would assign over his Lease to such person or persons as the Company through
Convenient they would release him of all rent due to them Which the said Taylor then agreed
to accordingly And Itt was further ordered That the said Taylor do assign the said Lease to
William< no role > and Robert Hamilton< no role > Citizens and Joyners of London on their paying Five pounds
to the Renter Warden of this Company as a Fine for the same Which they now paid him
accordingly
