Examined the Prisons and found them very clean.
The Calendar of the Prisoners being laid before
the Committee there appeared to be
45 Men
2 Apprentices
29 Women
10 Children

The Committee proceeded to take into consideration
the following recommendations from Mr Till which
were read as follows vizt.
That
1
the present Matron and Porter being incapable from Age and Infirmities
of performing their respective Duties,
and that theyought to be Superannuated
upon such Annuties as the Court may think fit.
That

All Prisoners who are sent to this Hospital for Punishment ought to be
kept in Solitary confinement and that a reasonable portion of Work
should be assigned them to perform every day.
That
3
every Prisoners should be paid at going out of the House two pence
in each Shilling which they have earned during their continuance
there.
That
4
every Prisoner neglecting or spoiling their Work should not receive
any Sustenance But Bread and Water
