Surveyor to inquire into
the Method of preparing
Junk to be converted into
Oakum
This Committee having taken into
Consideration the Estimates made by the
Surveyor for the Separate and distinct Confinement
of the Women Prisoners one for dividing the Upper
Rooms in the Womens Prison into separate Cells
with Wooden Partitions and the other for converting
the whole of that Prison into separate Cells with
Brickwork It is the Opinion of this Committee
that the further Consideration of this Business be-
Postponed till after the Audit as the Committee will
then be better able to Judge of the Propriety of carrying
this Scheme into Execution and It is Ordered
that the Surveyor do in the interim Inquire into
the Method of preparing Junk to be converted into
Oakum
