This Committee having taken into
Consideration the Surveyors Estimate for altering
the lower part of Mr. Cricketts House & Converting
the same into the Mens Prison for the Purpose of
dividing and making the same into seperate
Cells amounting to £192 and having Viewed the
said Apartment are of Opinion not to carry the
said Scheme into Execution.

Rooms over Prisons to
be converted into Infirmarys
This Committee being Informed by the
medical Officers and being of Opinion that one
or more Infirmaries will be of great Utility both
to the Apprentices as well as to the Men & Women
Prisoners when Ill-Proceeded to to View several
Apartments and Rooms over both the Men &
Womens Prisons and having fixed upon a large
Room up the Stairs on the North East Corner
of the Inner Court
for the Apprentices and Men
Prisoners It is Ordered that the Surveyor do
make an Estimate of the Expence of dividing and
fitting up the same And the Committee having
also Viewed the Womens Prison with the several
Rooms over the same are of Opinion that the Room
up three Pair of Stairs being very large & Airy
might easily be Converted into an Infirmary for the
