deced maketh oath That her Said late husband as She has been informd
& believes was born in Nightingale Lane in the parish of St Botolph
witht Aldgate in the Sd County & to this Deponts knowledge or belief
he never was bound an Apprentice nor ever lived as a hired few
for a year nor ever rented a house of Ten pounds a year or upwds
nor ever Served any parish office or paid any poors Rates or
Kings Taxes nor ever did any Act to gain a Settlement in his
own right & this Depont Can give no Account respecting the
Settlement of his parents or eithr of them That She this Depont
was Married to her Said husband at the Fleet about thirty Seven
years ago & Since his death hath not done any Act to gain a
Settlement for herself.

Davis
< no role > of the parish of St Botolph without Aldgate in the Said
County Singlewoman taken on oath before me one of his Majesties
Justices of the peace in & for the Sd County this 4. day of January
1777 who Saith that She is now with Child & that the Sd Child
is likely to be born a Bastard & to be Chargeable to the Sd parish
of St Botolph witht Aldgate And that one Mountague Wale < no role > of
the Parish of St John Clerkenwell in the Sd County Bricklayer
Labourer is the Father of the Said Child.
