Hannah Briggs< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. Single woman Maketh oath That about
Sixteen Years ago she was bound apprentice by the then
Churchwardens and overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Botolph without Aldgate in the County of Middx to one John
Mac Daniel
< no role > who then kept a Green Shop in Whites Yard in the
Parish of St. Mary White chappel in the said County with whom
she lived under such Indenture for the Space of two Months
And then her said Master Mac Daniel being obliged to go to Ireland
(as he informed her) Entred into an Agreement with one John
Smith
< no role > of Whites Yard aforesaid Taylor That She this Deponent
shod. serve him the said John Smith< no role > under the Said Indenture
for the remainder of her Apprenticeship to which this Deponent
was Prevailed on & gave her Consent and thereupon in Consequence
of such Agreement & Consent she this Deponent went to & lived with
the said John Smith< no role > as his Apprentice in Whites Yard aforesaid and
this Deponents Indre was delivered up to the Said John Smith< no role > and
fifteen Shillings Paid by the said John Smith< no role > to the said John
Mac Daniel
< no role > as the Consn of this Deponents being turned over to him
the said John Smith< no role > to live with him in Manner as aforesaid as
she this Depont. was then informed by her said Master Smith and
verily believes to be true And this Depont farther Saith that she
lived with the said John Smith< no role > in Whites Yard aforesaid in
Pursuance of such Said Agreement for about the Space of two
Months When her said Master Smith removed from thence
to the Corner of Black Jack Alley in the Parish of Saint John
Wapping in the said County where she also lived with her
said Master Smith for the Space of divers Months to the best of
this Deponts. now remembrance & belief and then her said Master
left her, & went away to Places Unknown to her And this
Depont. Saith that she hath not since lived as an Apprentice
nor as a hire servant for a year nor was ever Married nor
hath she done any Act since her servitude as above to gain a
subsequent Settlement
