Middlesex ss.

Thomas Kierman< no role > maketh oath that he hath been
Credibly informed and Verily believes the same to be true
That John Carnes< no role > late of the Parish of Saint George in the
County of Middx Chandler deced about fifteen
Months Ago rented a house in the sd. Parish of Saint George
was charged to and Paid the Poors Rates & King Taxes for
the Same & by means thereof as this Deponent is advised
gained a legal Settlement there And this Deponent Saith that
the said John Carnes< no role > to this Deponts. knowledge information or
belief did not afterwards do any Act to gain a Subsequent
Settlement And that the said John Carnes< no role > left behind a
Widow now living named Mary< no role > (who is now detained at
Maid Stone in Kent in order to take her Trial at the ensuing
Assises there) And also two Children to wit John< no role > Aged about
four Years and William< no role > aged about three Years the lawful
Issue of the said John Carnes< no role > deced by the Said Mary< no role > his
Widow And lastly this Deponent Saith that to his knowledge
information or belief the said Mary Carnes< no role > Since the death
of her Said late husband hath not done any Act to gain a
Settlement in her own right.
