. in the Words and Figures following Vizt.
At a Committee Friday 12th. July 1776.In Pursuance
of an Order of Court of the Twenty fifth day of January last
whereby it was referred to this Committee to consider the Petition
of the Inhabitants of Bridewell Hospital
and Precinct Praying
an additional Aid towards defraying the Expence of the Poor
Watch and Seavenger belonging to the said Precinct and to
Report their Opinion thereon to the Court This Committee
having duly weighed and considered the said Petition and
heard what was alledeged by the Inhabitants in Support thereof
are of Opinion that the Sum of Seventy two Pounds is a
resonable and proper Sum to be paid by the Steward of
this Hospital to the Officers of the Precinct as an Additional
Aid towards defraying the Expence of the Poor Watch and
Seavanger for two Years Ending at Lady Day last exculsive
of the Sum of Twenty four Pounds a Year heretofore paid
all which is nevertheless Submitted to the Judgement of the
Court." This Court having duly weighed and considered
the said Report doth agree with the said Committee and
It is Ordered that the Steward of this Hospitals do.
pay to the Chapel Wardens the Sum of Seventy two Pounds for
the purposes aforesaid to be allowed him in his next
Account.
