Continued Thursday 26th. Febry. 1761

is become well Intitled to the benefit of all the sd. Leases during the Remainder of
the said Several Terms therein And the said Sir Anthony Deane< no role > and Your
Petitioner have laid out and Expended Several large Summs of Money in &
about the building and repairing the said premisses.

That afterwards Sir Anthony Deane and Elizabeth Deane< no role > Did Demise
and Lease unto Gregory Page< no role > Merchant afterwards Sir Gregory Page Barrt .
All that peice of Ground on the Northwardly side of Cinnamon Street
aforesaid being one of the three Peices of ground in the said Last Lease
Granted to him To hold from Michas 1683 for 80 Years under the like
Covenants as to Repairs Etc on are Mentioned in the aforesaid Lease
of the 5th. of May 1676.-

That Several of the aforesaid Messuages are worn out gone to decay
and want to be New built and others to be repair'd.

That 8 Houses being built upon the said last mentioned Premisses
the said Sir Gregory Page let the same on Lease to Captain Blakeway &
Which said Houses were all afterwards burnt down and remain yet unrebuilt
And the said Blakeway died Insolvent And Your Petitioner Proposes
to rebuild the same.

Wherefore in regard that Your Petitioner hath been at great
Expences in and about the building and repairs aforesaid and Proposes to
lay out and Expend the Sum of £4700. in Naw building 18 Houses &
repairing 23. other Houses and Tenements within 3 Years from the
Expiration of the Present Leases and to Advance the Ground rent
for the whole from £ 28..10..0 to £ 46..0..0 a Year And praying
a Lease AccordinglyThis Court doth Order that the said
Petition be referr'd to the Committee of this House And report their
Opinion thereon to the Court.

of a Lease Wapping


Upon Reading the humble Petition of Catherine Daniel< no role > of the Parish
of St. Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex Widow as follows Vizt.

That at a Court holden at the said Hospital of Bridewell on Thursday
the 16th. day of October 1746 in pursuance of a Report from the Comittee of
this House dated the 24th. of July 1746 on the proposals of William
Daniel
< no role > then of Wapping Coal Merchant It was Order'd that a Lease
should be made to the said William Daniel of a Messuage aTenemt.
then in his Tenure or Occupation near Wapping New Stairs Sutuate
on the South side of the street for the Term of 21 Years from
Michas then next at £4 P Ann rent clear of Taxes And with Usual
Covenants Contained in Leases to the Governors Tenants at Wapping
The sd. Wm. Daniel paying a Fine of £ 65. and laying out £133-0-0
in repairing the premisses.
