Upon Reading the humble Peticon of Daniel Ferrand Merchant
Setting forthThat he proposes to take a Lease (with usual Covenants
between the Governors of Bethlem Hospital and their Tenants) of a House in
Lyme Street Square (No. 4) now in the Occupation of Mr. Levy (& part of the
Possessions of Bethlem Hospital) for years determinable on Notice one year
before the Expiration of the First Eleven Years to be meme from Xmas next at
£18 P Ann Clear of Taxes Payable quarterly at the Compting house at
Bridewell Hospital & to Pay a Fine of £100 & to do the repair Particularly
mentioned in the Estimate dated the 13 Septr last [..] and Signed by Benjamine Blackden< no role >
& to Seal a Counterpart of Such LeaseAnd praying the Governors to grant
him a Lease According to his said ProposalIt is Ordered That
the said Petition be referred to the Comittee of this House to Consider thereof
and to report their Opinion thereon to the Court.

of Theophilus Armit< no role > deceased and Christopher Masterman< no role > and Thomas Peacock< no role >
of Bridewell Precinct London Colemerchant Setting forthThat by Indre of
Lease dated 20th. Septr. 1725 The Governors of Bridewell Hospital demised to
the said Theophilus Armit< no role > Several Peices or Parcells of Ground lying in the
Precinct of the said Hospital for 56 years from Middsr. then last at £30 P
Ann rent for the two first years and £60 P ann for the Remr. of the Term
which Lease will Expire at Midsr. 1731That the Petitioner Mary
Armitt as Administratrix to her said late husband is become intitled to
the said Pmes for the residue of the Term yet to come in the said
LeaseAnd is desirous of making an Under lease of the sd. Pmes
to the Petitioners Master Man & PeacockAnd praying the Governors
that the Petitioner Mary Armit may have Lycome to demise the said
pmes to the Petitioners Masterman & Peacock for So much of the
Remr. of the said Term of 56 years as they shall agree uponIt is
Ordered That the said Petition be referred to the Comittee of this House
to Consider thereof & to report their Opinion thereon to the Court.

Upon Reading the Humble Petition of John Walker< no role > of Lyneham in the
County off Wilks Esqr & Thomas Brown< no role > of Bartlets buildings London Setting forth

That The Governors by Indre dated 31st. July 1703 Demised to Henry
Whistler
< no role > Several Peices of Ground in Wapping for 61 Yeares from Middsr. 1703
at £25 P Ann rent which Lease Expires at Middsr 1764That diverse
Messes Warehouses Wharfe and other buildings were afterwds. Erected on said
Ground & said Pmes by Mosses Assignmts become Vested in the Petr. WalkerThat
four of the said Mosses with the Warehouses Etc were in the Year 1743 burnt down
not being Insured whereby he was a great SuffererThat on his Petition
the 18th July 1744 and proposeing to lay out £1000 in building four Messes Etc
in the Room of the Four that were burnt the Governors were pleased to Order
that on Surendering the Old Lease & paying a Fine of £150 for an Additional
Term of 41 years to make up the Term then in being 61 Years in the Ground
Where on the 4 Houses Stood that were burnt & paying the rent of £8 part of the
old rent of £25) Clear of Taxes a New Lease Shou'd be granted of the said
Ground for 61 Years from Midsr. 1744 which wou'd expire 1805 And a
new lease of the residue of the Premisses Comprized in the Old Lease for
the Remr. of the Term then to Come therein at the rent of £17
