Upon Reading a Report from the Comitte of this House bearing date the 22d June last under

Proposes to take a Lease from the Governors of Bethlem Hospital of the House late in the
£51 P Ann rent payable quarterly at the Compting house of Bridewell Hospital with
usual Covenants Except the Accident of Fire and in Case of Notice in writing of either
Side one year before the Expiration of the first 11 years the residue of the Term to Lease
This Comittee haveing Considered the said Proposals are of Opinion to Accept the
same upon which the said Mr. James gave a Guinea to the Poors box all which
Nevertheless is Submitted to the Judgement by the Court and it is ordered That this
Opinion be Reported to the next CourtThis Court having duly Weighed &
Considered the said Report doth Confirm the same and order that a Lease be made
to the said William Innes< no role > & Thos. Clerk Accordingly

in the Courty of Middlesex Cheesmonger was read Setting forthVizt to take Lease
of the Governors of Bridewell Hospital of the Messe or Tenement he now dwell in (No.2)
Situate near hand Alley in Holborn for 21 Years from Midsumer last at the Yearly rent of £10
payable quarterly at he Compting House at Bridewell Hospital clear of Taxes & to pay a Fine
of £70 and keep the Pmes in good repair to the end of the Term and to execute a Counter part
of Such LeaseIt is Ordered That the said Proposals be referred to the Comittee of this
House to Consider there of & report their Opinion thereinto the next Court

At this Court the Proposals of John Arnold< no role > of Wapping Distiller was read Setting forth
Vizt. to take a Lease for 21 Years from Michas next of two Messes or Tenemts. Situate
on the South side of Wapping Shoes near Wapping Dock Stairs one of them in his own Possion
and the other Empty and to pay the Yearly rent of £7 Clear of Taxes quarterly at the Compting
House at Bridewell Hospital & to repair the premises at his own expence & to Execute a Counterpart
of such LeaseIt is Ordered that the said Proposals be referred to the Comittee of this
House to Consider thereof & report their Opinion therein to the next Court

he Served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital port to Mr. John Geldart< no role > deceased and the
Remainder to Mr. Samll. Geldart< no role > one of your Worships Artsmaster s by Indre dated 25th.
of Febry 1741 & by Order of Court the 13th. of April last he was made free of this City the 20th of
April last and is Sett up for himself in his said Trade at Mr. Sanders a Peruke maker the
Corner of Bridelane FleetditchAnd the Court being informed that the Comittee of this
House on the Twenty second day of June last Inspected the Book kept of Apprentices
behaviour and found no Complaint against himIt is Ordered That Edward

Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Paul Burberow Needlemaker who Served
his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to Mr. Sutton Sharpe< no role > one of your Worships
Arts master s by Indre dated 25th. March 1742 and by Order of Court 15th. of April last
he was made free of this City the 26th. of April last and is Set up for himself in his said
Trade at Mr. Wilkins a Chandlers Mop in Bride Lane And the Court being informed
that the Comittee of this House on the Twenty secondday of June last Inspected the Book
kept of Apprentices behaviour & found no Complaint against himIt is Ordered
That Edwd. Umfreville< no role > Esqr . Dr. Rawlinson & Mr. John Purcas< no role > three of the
Governors of this Hospital or any two of them be desired to enquire whether the said
Paul Berberow be set up in his said Trade & of his hopefullness therein & make their
Report to the next Court

Apprentices free


At this Court the Persons hereunder made named were Ordered to be made free of this City haveing
Served their Apprenticeships in this Hospital to the Masters here under written Vizt.
