Doctor Richard Rawlinson< no role > one of the Governors of these Hospitals reported
to this Court that in Pursuance of an Order of Court the 2d. day of Decr. last He
and Mr. Nathl. Nash< no role > another of the Governors of these Hospitals had made
enquiry and found That Richard Adcock< no role > who Served his Apprenticeship in
this Hospital to Mr. Sutton Sharpe< no role > Needle maker is Set up for himself in
his said Trade and has the Character of a Diligent and Sober ManIt is
Ordered That the Steward of this Hospital do give and pay unto the said
Richard Adcock< no role > Ten Pounds out of Mr. Locks Gift to be Allowed him in
his next Account.

and found That John Kempt< no role > who Served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to
Mr. Thomas Keil< no role > Weaver is Set up for himself in his said Trade
and has the Character of a Diligent and Sober ManIt is Ordered That the
Steward of this Hospital do give and pay unto the said John Kempt< no role > Ten Pounds
out of Mr. Locks Gift to be Allowed him in his Next AccountAnd Mr. Trear
Acquainted this Court That the House Comittee haveing received an
Extraordinary Character of the good behaviour of the said John Kemp< no role >
Do recomond him to the favour of the Court for some Allowance out of
Mr. Fowkes Gift as a further reward for his Sobriety and Diligence in his
Apprenticeship and for the better carrying on His Trade and which they
hope will be an Encouragement o other Apprentices in the Hospital to behave
so as to [..] deferse the same favour Whereupon This Court doth Order
That the Clerk do give and pay to the said John Kemp< no role > five Pounds out
of Mr. Fowkes Gift to be Allowed him in his next Account

Beadles Gra [..] ye Xmas

Upon reading the humble Petition of the four Beadles and Porters Man of this
Hospital for their usual Gratuities of Forty Shillings a peice in respect of the half year
ending at Christmas last for that their Sallary are but SmallIt is Ordered that
Clerk of these Hospitals do and pay unto them Forty Shillings a peice to be Allowed him
in his next Account.

Basketmendo


Upon Reading the humble Petition of the three Beadles or Basketmen of the
Hospital of Bethlem for their usual Gratuities of [..] ty Shillings a peice in respect of
the half year ending at Christmas last for that their Sallarys are but SmallIt
Shillings a peice to be allowed him in his next Account

At this Court the Persons hereunder Named were Ordered to be made free of
this City having Served their Apprenticeships in this Hospital to the Arts masters
hereunder Written Vizt.
