Mr: Depty. Valentine Brewis< no role > one of the Governors of this Hospital [..]
to This Court that In Pursuance of an Order of Court the 1st. of July last Mr. Dyas
Bridge
< no role > and he had made Enquiry and found That Thomas Staines< no role > who form
to Apprenticeship in This Hospital is Sett up for himself in the Trade of a Wh [..]
and held the Character of a Diligent & Sober ManIt is Ordered That
the Steward of This Hospital. do Give and Pay unto the said Thomas Staines< no role > [..]
Ten Pounds out of Mr. Locks Gift to be Allow'd him in his next Account.

Thomas Haverstitck< no role > Apprentice to Allen Page< no role > [..] One of the Artsmasters of the
Hospital came before This Court & beg'd leave to return to his said Master from-
whom he had run away, It is said a Master Acquainted the Court that he had [..]
him of some Ribbon & gave it or Sold it to a Boy who was an Apprentice in
Black Fryars & that he Suspected to had robbed him Several times before &
had run away twin or these times & kept ill Company The said Boy Confessed
to Stole the Ribbon (wch. to gave to the boy in Black fryars ) from his Master but
Da [..] he was Robbed him at any other time & Promised to be very good for the
future if his a Master would try him again Whereupon It is Ordered that
the said Thomas Haverstitck< no role > be Sett to the Block to hard Labour.
