5th Decemr. 1718.

for the powder nor who brought it nor who in particular took it in
That he had no design not door he know of any design there was to
go out of the hospital that evening till the powder was brought as
aforesaidThen Rainsford< no role > and fly being called in confessed the
matter as Sett forth by Trevisa; but said they [..] not of any
design among the Boys to go out till the powder was brought as
aforesaid nor who brought it.

The Artsmasters and apprentices being withdrawn and ye Comee having
considered of proper meaner to inforce an observance of the Governor s Orders
concerning these matters among the Artsmasters & apprentices are of
Opinion

That ye Beadles do from to tune give an account to the president
of the names of the apprentices that Shall be found out of their Masters
houses on any holydays whereon ye Gates are kept Shutt, and their
Masters names That the said Masters as well as their apprentices may
be punished as the president Shall judge proper or as the next Court
Shall think fitt to order

That ye apprentices who Shall presunce to go out of the hospital on any
Such days Shall be corrected in the presence of the rest of the apprentice
and then Sent home to then Masters

That ye Apprentices be allowed ye play days Set down in the Margin &
no others and that a List of them be Set up in the Artsmasters Shops

Then the Orders of the Court of Aldermen made upon the hearing
the said Matter of Complaint against the apprentices were read as
followeth vizt.

The Rt. honble. The Lord Mayor acquainted this Court That he had
reced Information That Several of the apprentices of Bridewell hospll.
had Comitted Several Outrages on the 5th of this Instant November
in the Streets and that he had directed the Boys together with the artsmar s.
Beadle and Porterto attend this Court and sr William Withers< no role > knt .
