Mr. Essington & Mr

1707.

This Comittee being Mett in pursuance of an Order of ye
17th day of September last past and haveing viewed the prmises
in Holborne now desired to be now leased, and the Old lease
thereof wch will expire at Lady day 1707 being now Lett for £4
P Annm Do Find the same very much out of repaire and that
It will cost very considerable to putt them into good and substance
Condicon being very old and ruinous And haveing considered
of the proposalls made by John Essington< no role > and Thomas
Dodd
< no role > Exors to and Trustees for the chilldren of John Staffe< no role >
Surgeon deced Do think it reasonable that the said John-

for the terme of One and twenty years to be added to the
Old terme of three years and a quarter which are still in
being at the advance rent of Forty shillings P annm for the

obliged on or before two years after the comencemt. of the sd
new Lease to lay out and expend the sume of £50 in the
substantiall repaireing of the said house And that a New
Covenant be added That in case the Hospitall shall be
Inclined to rebuild the same then the sd New Lease to be
granted as above to be Surrendered and they to have an
allowance as is appointed in the Covenants in the Leases Lately lett by the
Hospll of Bethlem to their Tenants there: and such other Covn.
