Upon the humble Petition of Thomas Yatts< no role > Stewards of ye. hospll. of
Bethlem For Such Gratuity as this Court shall thinke fitt to best one
upon him for the yeare Ending at Xmass last In reguard of the
Small ness of his Sallary and the great Increase of ye. Busyness of his
office which now takes up his whole time Whereas his Predecessors
in ye Same [..] Office had leasure and opportunity of attending
to othr. Imploymts. This Court haveing taken the pr. mes. into
Consideracon Doe in respect thereof think fitt & Soe order That
Mr. Trear Doe give and pay unto him Thirtye pounds as a
free Gratuity of this Court to be allowed Mr. Trear in his next acct

Also upon the humble Peticon of John [..] Stoakes< no role > on the behalf
of Mary Harris< no role > of New Windsor in ye. County of Berks wid
For some mittigacon of ye. weekly payment of 5s. for the
Keeping of Umphrevill Harris< no role > Son of ye. Sd. Mary in the
hospll. of Bethlem where he has been maintained by his sd.
mother above Nine Months tho she has nothing to Assist
towards the Sd. charge on her owne Maintenance save what she
getts by Nursing Children and what she Receives from ye.
Charity of her Relacons and therefore is altogether unable
to bear the sd. Charge This Court Being Satisfyed of ye.
truth of the matter of the sd. Petition Doe Order. That Security
being given to pay two Shillings & Six pence a week for the
future That then the same shall be reced And the Bond for
paymt. of 5s. a week be Delivered up to be cancelled

Edwd, Hill her Son was by the Direccon of this Court putt
apprentice to Willin Atkins< no role > taylor one of ye. Artsmars. of
Bridewell hospll. and served him about 5 yeares That about a
yeare agoe her sd. Son wth. the consent of his Sd. Mar. and on his
promise to send him a Chest & convenient clothes for Sea Entered
himselfe into the Majties. Service But that her Son never reced any
clothes or necessaryes from his Master (other then the Clothes
allowed by this Court) And that when for want there of the sd. Edwd.

Applicacon could prevaile wth. his Mar. to help him or towards
fitting him out In soe much at the poore peticonr. was forest
Sell her Goods and ye. very bed from under her to Supply her
Said necessity That her Son dyed in Newfoundlane and his
Master now prtends. to receive what is due for his Service the [..]
would be at noe Charge in fitting him for it Humbly praying
