This Court Being Informed That Edward Bettenson< no role > Esqr (a worthy &
Bountifull Governor of these Hosplls (who has heretofore bestowed £40 in
charity to the Same) has lately given to Mr: Trear a Bond taken in his
name for One hundred and Fifty pounds and Interest payable in Novembr.
next and see much money as will make upp the Same wth. the Forty pounds
aforesaid) in all [..] Two hundred pounds & to bepaidapplyed and Disposed
for the use of the said Hospll: In such manner as this Court shall thinke fit [..]
It is ordered That the Thanks of this Court be now given to the sd. Mr:
Bettenson For such his generous charity which is accordingly done by
the Right worsppfull the Presidt: in the name of all the Governors of their
Hosplls.

Also upon the humble Peticon of Tho: Yates< no role > (Steward of the Hospll. of Bethlem
For such gratuity as this Court shall think fitt to bestow upon him for the
yeare ending at Xmass last in reguard of the Smallnesse of his
Sallary and of the great Increase of the Business of his Office wch: now
takes upp his whole time Whereas his prdecessor's in the same office had
time and opportunity of attending to othr. Employments This Court
haveing taken the premises and also the long and Chargeable illness
of the sd. Thomas Yates< no role > the last Yeare Doe in respect thereof Thinke
fitt and see order That Mr: Trear Doe give and pay unto him Fifty
pounds as a Free gratuity of this Court To be allow dd Mr. Trear in his
next Account

wth. Daniell Nipp< no role > Weaver ope of the Arts Masters of the Hospll: of
Bridewell and Since made a Freeman of this Citty by the approbacon of
this Court Is sett up for himselfe in the Trade of a weaver And That the
Leeme with which he worketh is his own And further That he hath
the Report amongst his neighbourhood of a Sober Dilligent hopefull
youngman It is ordered By this Court That Mr. Trear Doe give and pay
unto him Tenne pounds of the profills of Mr Locks gift To be allowed Mr
Trear in his next Account

hempdresser (as he alleadgeth) at the Signe of the Patience Grissill in Old
