Upon the humble Peticon of John Cotton< no role > one of the Beadles
of the Hospll of Bridewell Shewing That he had for many Moneth
beene ill of a Fistula & other lang wishing distempers, for wch: he
had beene (by the Christians Direccon) a considerable time in the
Country att a great charge That this his sicknesse & the illness of
his Children att the same time had reduced him to the lowest
condicon of Want in wch: state he had noe where (under God
almighty) to have recourse unto but the goodnesse of this Court
Humbly prayeing therefore the Charity of ye Worspplthis Courtfor &
towards his reliefe & support This Court considering the Prmes:
& comisserating the condicon of the Peticonr: doe order That
Mr Trear Doe give and pay him Five pounds for his prsent
Support to be allowed Mr Trear in his next account
