Who being on Oath severally say And First the said
David Petrie< no role >
for himself saith, that on Wednesday
Morning about Eight, O Clock the Prisoner now under
Examination, Mary the Wife
of

, came to this Informant's
House, and ordered three pennyworth of Purl in a
Quart Pot to carry to Mrs Wetton's, a Customer of
InformantInformant delivered the Purl in a
pewter quart Pot to the Prisoner, who in a few
in another quart Pot for Mrs. Wetton's which Informant also delivered
to the PrisonerInformant sent to Mrs Wetton's
for the two quart Pots, and was told he had been
imposed upon by the Prisoner Wills, and that Mrs
Wettons had not sent her For the PurlInformant
upon looking over the pewter Pets. now produced is
certain two of the quart Pots are his Property and of the Value of his Shillings
[..] and he
has no doubt sent that they are the same two Pots he delivered
to the Prisoner in manner aforesaid, and he verily
believes, the other Prisoner John Rappitt did
Feloniously receive the said two quart Potts of the
Prisoner

in order to search for
Helen Potts, and Found the two quart Potts claimed
by the other Informant Petrie concealed with other
Potts in the corner of a Cupboard in the room up
one, Pair of Stairsall the tin Ware and melted
Pewter
now produced were also concealed in this
cupboard, out of View, which Cupboard had the
appearance of a False Wainscoat, so as to avoid
any Suspicion of there being a cupboard
Informant took into Custody the Prisoner Rappitt
who in the way to the Compter said, his Wife had
bought some
severalPotts of the Prisoner Wills
Taken and sworn at Guildhall
