Thomas Gates< no role > of Hoxton in the County of Middlesex Gentleman
and Marshall of the City of London maketh Oath and saith that on
the fourth Day of April last the said Fanny Hart was committed
on the Oath of Emanuel Fernandez< no role > and other on a violent suspicion
of stealing in his Dwelling House a Childs Suit of Linnen a pair
of Dresden Ruffles and other things of the Value of Forty Silling
and upwards his property and was also detained on the Oath of
Benjamin Merryman< no role > and others on a violent suspicion of stealing
in his Dwelling House a Silver Hilted Sword a Blue Silk Belt a Hat
and other Things of the Value of Forty Shillings and upwards his
Property and this Deponent saith that Esther Moses< no role > late of Pump Court in
the Parish of Saint Botolph Aldgate Widow is as this Deponent hath been advised
and verity believes a material Witness against the said Fanny Hart
touching the said Felonies for which she stands committed as aforesaid and
that without the Benefit of the Testimony of the said Esther Moses
the said Emanuel Fernandez and Benjamin Merryman cannot as
he this Deponent is advised and verily believes Prosecute the said
Fanny Hart with Effect at this present Session for the said Felonies And this
Deponent saith that he hath since the said Fanny Hart was committed to
Prison as aforesaid made diligent Enquiry after the said Esther Mosses
in order to procure her to appear as a Witness against the
said Fanny Hart at this present Session but this Deponent saith that he
