Resolved and Agreed that in case any Action or
Actions be brought agt. the Overseers of the Poor for
takeing up Alexr. Morris< no role >
for not providing for his Wife
and Leaving her a Charge upon the Parish the same
be defended and the costs thereof paid by the Church
wardens and Allowed them in their Accounts
Whereas by the Rental delivered to the Treasr. to
the Overseers for the Year 1748 it Appears that there
is £15 Charged upon the said Rental for one Year
and a Quaters Rent due from Mr Lyon Toby< no role >
for a
house in Dukes Place
at Lady Day 1749 and
whereas it appears that the sd. Lyon Toby was to be
Allowed one Quarter of a Years Rent whilst the said
house was repairing so that there will be only £12
for one Years Rent due at sd. Lady Day 1749
The Treasurer is therefore hereby Impowered upon the
Payment of the sd. Sum of £12 to Discharge him to
Lady Day 1749
And it appearing upon the same Rental that
there is £8 Charged for an Anuity due from the
Rt Hon'ble the East of Salisbury at Micha's 1748
whereas it appears by sevl. Receipts that the sd.
Annuity is not due till Lady Day 1749
The Treasurer therefore is hereby Impowered
upon the Receipt of the said £8 to give a
Discharge for the same due at Lady Day 1749
