Wardens & Overseers

Ordered that the Vestry Cd make Coppys of the aforesd.
Clauses & deliver the same to the Church Wardens & Oversrs.
& Enter the same in the Minute Book
Stat 3: W & M Chap: 11: Sect 11:
Whereas many Inconvenieneys do daily Arise in Citys Towns
Corporate & Parishes where the Inhabitants are very numerous
by Reason [..] of the Unlimited Power
of the Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poor who do frequency
upon frivolous presences(but Chiefly for their own private
Ends)Give Releife to what Persons & Number they think fill
& such Persons bring Entered into the Collection Bill do became
after that a great Charge to the Parish, notwithstanding
the Occasion or Presence of their receiving Collction often
times Conses by which Means the Rate for the Poor are
daily Increased contrary to the Free Intent of a Statute made
in the 43d. Year of the Reign of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth
intitled an Act for the Releif of the Poor: For Remedying
of which & preventing the like abuses for the Future Be
it Enacted that from & after the 1st. Day of March there
