At a Meeting of the Churchwardens Overseers of the Poor and
Assistants pursuant to Notice.

Mr. Brett
Several Arguments having been made Use of that there was no
Employment for the Poor - A Motton made by Mr. Rainforth &
Seconded by Messrs. Watt & Bretts that a Committee shod. be
Appointed to make the Best Inquiries at sevl. other Workhousees
as also other Gentlemen concerned in different Manufactures
so as to find out the must effectual means to Employ the Poor
and on the Question being put it was Unanimously Agreed to
And thereupon a Committee was Appointed Accordingly (Vizt.)
the Present Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor Mr.
Rainforth Mr. Watt Mr. Brett they was thereupon requested
to take the Trouble on themselves which they readily Agreed
to do & to make a Report of their Proceedings to this Board on
this Day senight at 6 o Clock in the afternoon
