Parliament for better Paving Cleansing and
Lighting this Parish Etc held in the Vestry
Room the 13th day of April 1797 .

A Bill from Charles Hutchins< no role > the Scavenger One
Quarter to Lady day last amounting to £62..10s.0d
another from William Meredith< no role > the same time for Repair
of the Carriage way of the Strand by Contract £27..10s and
for other Business £2:14s:4d together £30:4s:4d another from
George Buddle< no role > to the Mason for work done £11..10s:9d and
another from Wm. Forge for Lighting the Lamps the same
time £194:5s:5d and another from Benjn. Marshall< no role > for
Stationary One Year to Christmas £4..2s..0d being
severally Read and the Inspector for examined thereto
three of the Committee signed Drafts on the Bankers
payable to the said respective Persons or Bearer for
the amount of such their Bills.

In Pursuance of the Statute this Committee met made
and signed Rate or assessment of Twelve Pence in the
Pound throughout the whole Parish or District under the
Committee Jurisdiction from Lady day last for One Year
then next ensuing for Paving Repairing Cleaning and
Lighting the same
