this 15th. day of June 1799 in the
Parish of St. Margaret Westminster
at the House of Thomas Phillips< no role >
the Sign of the Fox at Knights
-bridge before Anthony Gell< no role >
his Majesty's Coroner for the said
City and Liberty touching the
Death of George Dean< no role > then
and there lying dead as follow
to Wit.

George Clark< no role > of the High Row Knightsbridge
Undertaker being sworn deposeth that he has known
the deceased (who was a Journeyman Bricklayer )
for nearly four Years, that he was at Work on
the Top of an house in Eton Street Pimlies
an Monday the 3d. Instant about 12 at Noon and
that he accidentally felt from off the Top of the
house there into the Area and bloke both his Legs
that he was immediately conveyed from thence
to St George Hospital at which time he was
perfectly sensible, and being informed by the
Surgeors, that it was necessary to cutt off both
of his Legs, he would not consent to undergo
the Operations and therefore he was brought from
thence to his own house in Park Prospect
in Knights bridge where he was attached by
Mr. Williams
